Lithium deuteroxide is the deuterated analogue of lithium hydroxide — LiOD (also written lithium hydroxide-d) — supplied as a solution in deuterium oxide (D2O). It provides a lithium-cation deuteroxide base for NMR, isotope labeling, and deuterated synthesis without introducing exchangeable protons.
